What is "BEST T.P.S." ?

BEST Tyre Protection Sealant is a resin, containing rubber crumbs and micro fibers, which PROTECTS the tyres of all vehicles from:

  1. Holes of certain diameter
  2. Loss of air
  3. Increase of temperature
  4. Imbalance
  5. Failure of Retread

What is new in the secret formula of BEST T.P.S.? Which are the advantages compared to other sealants in the market?

BEST is the only product in the market combining both fibres and rubber crumbs in big quantities. In reality it is rubber in liquid form. Most of the sealants in the market contain either crumbs or fibre with a very small quantity of rubber dust. The advantage of our product is that fibres create strong patches and rubber crumbs seal bigger holes. After many years of research and development in some of the highest quality universities of Europe, we have concluded to our secret formula. The achievement of our production is to maintain equal dispersion of fibres and rubber crumbs in a stable solution, which never breaks - down.

Why is it important to maintain equal dispersion of fibres and crumbs?

The reasons why all substances should be equally distributed into the liquid are many but can be split in two groups:

a. Dispersion in calm (in the pail)
b. Dispersion in motion (in the wheel)

It is very difficult to keep materials of different specific gravity equally suspended into a liquid. Fibres and rubber crumbs have much different specific gravity (weight/volume) but also much more difference in weight/total surface of the molecule. In this characteristic the molecule difference is enormous significant, since the fibre is extremely fin and the rubber is chunky. As a result of the above the solution will split after some idle time. So when you pump into the tyre, you will pump more quantity of rubber or more quantity of fibre depending if you pump when the pail is completely full or half full or almost empty. This makes the liquid not functioning properly.

Coming to the function into the tyre, if the molecular forces are not able to keep the substances in position, the liquid will split and brake down. As a result you will see in old tyres with older generation of sealant, some black "water". This black liquid cannot function as a sealant any more, so after a short time it is useless.


Can BEST T.P.S. be installed to all vehicles?

Yes. There are two types of "BEST" product, so that it can deal with the needs of all vehicles, on road and off road.

1. "BEST T.P.S." ENFORCED, to be used as a preventative solution for heavy machines, in earth moving, construction machines, heavy and light trucks, trailers, semi trailers, etc.
2. "BEST Tyre Doctor", to be used in light and fast vehicles like cars, vans, pick-ups, SUVs etc. to repair punctures. This product comes in a kit including a mini compressor and all necessary tools to be installed after the puncture.

How is "BEST" installed?

Installation of the product is very simple. BEST. T.P.S. is injected into the tyre through the valve using a pump which we provide. It is not necessary to take the rim out of the vehicle or disassembly the tyre from the rim.

BEST Tyre Doctor, is very easily applied in te wheel just by squeezing its soft bottle container. The application is very easy for any male or female driver in any age. The kit contains full instructions in CD and in writting.

How many litres are necessary for each tyre?

Quantity depends directly on the size of the tyre or the inside surface that has to be covered. For this reason our engineers have edited lists with all tyre sizes. Lists are available to all our customers upon request. Please contact us for details or unlisted sizes.

How many ml of product are injected per each stroke of the pump?

The pump is injecting 100 ml per Full stroke. Full stroke means that piston has to be lifted completely up and pushed completely down.

Is it necessary to apply all the recommended quantity?

Absolutely Yes.
Our engineers have calculated the internal surface of all known sizes of tyres and the volume injected is adequate to create an internal layer. Correct operation of the product DOES NOT "suffer" from bigger quantity. Nevertheless it is very sensitive in smaller quantity. If the worker injects the exact number of strokes, as required by the lists, the operation is safe. If you want to increase the strokes a little bit, it is good. There is no harm. On the other hand if the worker does not count correctly the number of strokes, or if the strokes are not full, then there maybe a problem, since the protection may fail because there is not enough product in the tire. "Full strokes" mean that the worker must lift the piston completely up and then push it completely down. The most common mistake is that the worker often does not lift the piston completely up. This is why we absolutely recommend a very easy instruction to the worker: Lift up till you hear a sound (click) and then push down till you hear again the sound (click).



Which is the strongest marketing point of your product?

BEST T.P.S. will protect any tubeless tyre in the market. But our main target is the huge heavy duty tyres in earthmoving, mining, quarrying and lifting industries. In these industrial huge tyres, our strongest point is that BEST seals all leakages coming from the rims, the o-rings and the natural internal pores of rubber. Recently, cheap production tyres are available in the market, having many air leaking problems. We are proud that the reaction of the market has shown 100% success in this point.

Will "BEST" seal leakages near by the rim or even leakages from the o-ring or even the wedge ring of the rim?

"BEST" will seal any leakage caused by damage in the rubber. A hole or porous in the metal mass of the tyre, has never been sealed permanently. Sealing of leakages at the edge of the rim , leakages from the o-ring or from the wedge ring have been reported from our clients. Up to the moment statistics show that "BEST" has a 100% success in sealing the above mentioned leakages, provided there will be enough time for the sealant to reach the leakage. It has been observed that complete sealing of leakages sometimes took two or even three shifts time of the machines. During this time the operator of the machine was obliged to check the tyre pressure and add some air, but still the machine was working without any significant problem. Such applications for sealing hidden porous or leakages of any kind have been reported by very big companies in the sectors of construction, cement production, concrete production, marble mining, bauxite mining etc.

Is "BEST" used as a prevention or as a repair?

"BEST T.P.S." is designed to function as prevention. It is a protection sealant placed in the tyre ONCE in the lifetime of the tyre, in advance before any damage occurs. It is not designed to be used as a patch after the puncture. Application of "BEST T.P.S." in tyres already punctured has shown impressive results and has been proven in practice that the material is sealing punctures of the same size as if it was placed before the damage.

"BEST Tyre Doctor", is designed to repair damages by creating stable patches. Still if the driver needs, can open and inspect his tyre. If someone is going to use "BEST" T.P.S. or T.D. as a repair after the puncture, he must inject the product into the tyre, then inflate it, remove the penetrating object and drive. If the wheel is not on a vehicle, he has to turn the wheel so that the puncture goes down-wards and wait for some time so that the material arrives on the puncture. Then he must take the nail out of the tyre and store it with the wound down-wards. Some strokes with a hammer on the puncture area will help rubber to be sealed.

Is BEST to be used as a protection or as a repair for an already punctured tyre?

BEST T.P.S. is a preventive Sealant. So the product must be applied before the damage in order to prevent losses coming from a flat tyre. But BEST will certainly operate as a repair too. Application of the product in tyres already punctured has shown impressive results and has been proven in practice that the material is sealing punctures of the same size as if it was placed before the damage. If someone is going to use "BEST" as a repair after the puncture, he must first inflate the tyre, then turn the wheel so that the puncture is down-wards, then install "BEST" in the tyre and wait for some time so that the material arrives on the puncture. Then he must take the nail out of the tyre and store it with the wound down-wards. Some strokes with a hammer or a mallet on the puncture area will help rubber to be sealed. It is also very often that big tyres suffer from leakages from the rim side, therefore the damage is there. In this case just inject BEST into the tyre, refill the normal pressure and let the machine work. The product will cure the damage as the time passes. Important Notice "BEST" seals holes in the rubber. It will never restore the strength of broken belts or armory of the tyre. Nails, screws or thorns, do not break metal parts or very rarely they might break a few. In case that the same size of wound is caused by a flat piece like a knife or a stone, the possibility of braking metal armory is much increased, therefore an armed patch is necessary to be use. Even in this case, "BEST" will help by delaying air loss. "BEST" is compatible with the European Directive E.T.R.T.O and permits inspection and repair of the inner side of the tyre without being removed.

Can I remove the liquid from an old tyre and apply it in the next one?

No, this is not advisable. BEST seals all very small and fine pores of the tyre. In order to do so some substances of the liquid are absorbed by these small pores. As a result the liquid will function in this tyre for the whole life time BUT you cannot take this liquid from this tyre and put in the next tyre, as you cannot remove the substances that are absorbed into the rubber mass.

How is "BEST" packed?

BEST T.P.S. is packed in three different containers to cover the needs of our buyers:

  1. 30 drums . We higly recommend this packaging as the pump is designed to adjust its neck and it is easily transportable.
  2. 200 litre barel for wholesales.
  3. 1000 liter container for wholesalers and exporters.

Please always have in mind that although packaging in Totes or Barels will provide savings in transportation cost, the product has to be repacked in pails so the pump can operate in it.

BEST Tyre Doctor is packed in a repar kit, containing 500ml of product, one mini compressor, gloves, tools, instruction CD all in a small suitable bag.

Which are the main Technical specifications of "BEST"?

The main physical specifications of "BEST" are:

  • White color with black specks of rubber crumbs
  • Strong Rust inhibitors for the protection of the rims and tyre metal belts
  • It did not freeze at temperatures of -54o C (BEST T.P.S. Glassier) during the tests and did not boil at + 125o C in functioning conditions (120psi)
  • It always remains in liquid condition within the space of the tyre, it does not react chemically with the rubber and it does not stick neither on the rim nor on the tyre
  • Water soluble which makes it easy to remove from the tyres
  • Very good conductor of heat and electricity
  • The sealing to be created, has the same elasticity as the tyre, so it does not dry up and has the same rate of wear as the tyre
  • It has no effect on the skin and is easily removed with water (See MSDS)
  • It is environmentally friendly and its solid waste is to be treated like old tyres according to the local environmental law
  • The mixture of resins that it consists of, is thixotropic and colloidal.

What does thixotropic and colloidal means?

Thixotropic is a liquid which decreases its viscosity when forces like Centrifigular ones are applied on its molecules. That means that as the wheel spins up and velocity is increased, the resin becomes more and more fluid. This quality of BEST permits full coverage of the entire internal surface of the tyre,thus elimination of leakages.
Colloidal is a material which becomes increasingly sticky as the temperature increases.
As a result of these two values of the product, "BEST" becomes more fluid and increasingly sticky at working conditions of the wheel therefore it is very effective to create permanent patches.

Are the patches to be created permanent, or is it necessary to repair the tyre with a solid patch?

The patches are permanent. If the wound is very big, out of the Guarantee limits of "BEST" then it will be necessary to use a solid patch enforced with armory. "BEST" seals the rubber of the tyre. By no means it will repair or replace broken metal belts or any kind of armory.

Does "BEST" permit checking the surface of the rubber inside the tyre and repair by classic methods?

Absolutely Yes.

"BEST" permits any kind of check and any kind of repair without been removed. Therefore it is in conformity with the directive of the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization E.T.R.T.O. Is the liquid of the sealant, some type of Coolant for Tyres?

YES, definitely. The sealant is also colloidal, meaning that it becomes better a glue as it becomes warmer and warmer. This means that the liquid is heat friendly, thus it absorbs the thermal strength and the tyre functions cooler. This is extremely significant not only for safety reasons, but also because by this way the lifetime of the tyre is extended. This value of BEST is highly appreciated in countries where ambient temperature reaches 60o C maybe more during summer.

Can I change BEST from my tyres?

Definitely yes. You can remove BEST from your tyres, washing it with plain water. But you do not need to change it. Our product will last as long as the legal lifetime of the tyre. BEST T.P.S. is placed once in the lifetime of a tyre and remains in it for the whole time in liquid form. BEST T.D. should be removed in case the driver does not feel comfortable with it.

Will the liquid component of BEST get dry after some time?

The liquid never gets dry into the tyre or into the pail, if the pail is covered. In open air it will get dry after some days, depending on temperature, humidity etc. If the liquid gets dry it does not function

If BEST is applied before puncture will it get dry? or it will remain liquid in the tyres?

BEST will never get dry, neither in the tyre (nor in the pail) for as long as the lifetime of the tyre. Please note that the resin does not get dry even in the patch. Solid pieces are already included in the solution. These pieces are rubber crumbs and fibres which are pushed into the hole and create the patch. No need for further solidification. In case that the product gets dry then it becomes like rubber and it does not operate anymore. The only reason to make the product get dry is to leave it in open air. After some days in open air, the product will become like a gum made out of rubber. In this case you will treat the solidified product according to environmental regulations and legislation of your country, applied to old tyres.

Which is the Viscosity of the liquid?

In the pail and under normal conditions BEST is viscous liquid. Please note that viscosity depends on temperature. The higher temperature, the more fluid or less viscous it becomes. Also please note that the liquid is THIXOTROPIC, meaning that it has this viscosity only when the wheel is not rotating. When it starts rotating, shear forces lower down the viscosity, so the liquid becomes more fluid and covers all the internal surface of the tyre.



How much does "BEST" cost?

The price depends on the type of product to be used. Retail prices will be quoted by your local distributor. Worldwide, it is 12 to 15 Euros per liter, depending on quantities, cost of application etc. Wholesale prices or agent's price can be quoted after we discuss the possibility of a cooperation. How much does a pump cost?

A 100ml Pump is recommended. Each full stroke provides 100ml of product. The piston length is suitable for our 30 liter drums. The hose is flexible atd the nozzle is metal having a chock and a vane at its end. This pump is suitable for all vehicle. The pump costs 60 Euros per piece but distributors worldwide may add a small margin to cover transportation cost.

After all, is it for my interest to apply "BEST" in my tyres and pay for its cost?

Definitely YES.
For the businessman the cost of material which includes the application in the tyres, will pay not only the direct cost of repairs but mainly the cost of leisure of the machine and the operator while waiting for a repair. The product is completely friendly to human and environment. Please see our MSDS for more information. When you change tyres, just leave it in the old tyre. After some days under the sun and in open air, it will become completely solid like a gum made out of rubber and environmentally you can treat it exactly as the local legislation requires for old tyres.

What is the exact meaning of the numbers describing the size of a tyre?

Numeric Sizing System Alpha-Numeric Sizing System P-Metric Sizing System
Numeric Sizing System
This first system developed for tire sizing was used until the late 1960s, but provided only the cross section width of the tire and the rim diameter in inches. If the section width ended in zero (e.g., 7.00-14 or 7.50-14), the tire had a common aspect ratio of about 92. For section widths not ending in zero (e.g., 8.25-15), the tire was considered "low profile" with an aspect ratio of about 82
Alpha-Numeric Sizing System
In 1968, a new concept was introduced worldwide. The Alpha-Numeric sizing system is a load-based system where tires are designated by their load-carrying capacity and aspect ratio. The first letter is the load and size relationship, with letters ranging from A to N. The lower the letter, the smaller the size and, of course, the lower the load-carrying capacity of the tire.
P-Metric Sizing System
To accommodate the smaller tires used on compact cars, the P-Metric (Passenger Metric) system was created in 1976. The maximum inflation pressures of P-Metric tires were raised for lower rolling resistance. The P-Metric system is widely used by domestic tire manufacturers

Metric Sizing System
Because Europe primarily uses the metric system of measurement, the metric sizing system was developed. It is essentially a conversion of the Numeric system. Section widths are notated in millimeters instead of inches. Originally, tires not identified with an aspect ratio were assumed to be 82-series. When 60- and 70 series tires appeared, the aspect ratio was added to the nomenclature, similar to the P-Metric system.
ISO Metric Sizing System
The International Standards Organization (ISO) Metric system combines the Metric system with a service description. The service description provides the load index along with the speed rating symbol.
Millimetric Sizing System
The Millimetric sizing system is similar to the Metric system except that the rim diameter is also represented in millimeters.
